ABOUT THE SPINNEY PRESS

The Spinney Press is an independent Australian educational book publisher specialising in social issues. Since 1992 The Spinney Press has dedicated itself to producing exhaustively researched, unbiased publications that address many of the major issues which affect contemporary Australian and global society.

Issues in Society is a unique and invaluable series of books for those who need up-to-date information on social issues. 18 books a year are published — 6 books in January, April and August. Each book features a particular topical issue and is designed to remove the burden of compiling and maintaining information from a wide variety of sources.

A variety of opinions is expressed in each book. For example, The Globalisation Issue (Vol 272), presents a mix of opinions in the debate over the positive and negative impacts of globalisation.

Our aim is to provide a balanced overview and a diverse range of perspectives on this and many other issues.

Each 48-page book is presented in an easily accessible, lively magazine-style A4 format, including cartoons and illustrations.

Sources include:
