'Issues in Society' is a unique and invaluable series of books for those who need up-to-date information on contemporary social issues. * NOTE: From January 2011 – 15 books a year will be published – 5 books in January, April and August. Each book features a particular topical issue and is designed to remove the burden of compiling and maintaining information from a wide range of sources. A variety of opinions is expressed in each book. For example, The Globalisation Issue (Vol 272), presents a mix of opinions in the debate over the positive and negative impacts of globalisation. Our aim is to provide a balanced overview and a diverse range of perspectives on this and many other issues. All topics are exhaustively researched, and the most current, quality information is then compiled and reproduced. Each 48-page book* is presented in an easily accessible colour A4 format, and includes cartoons, illustrations and photographs. * NOTE: From January 2011 – each book will be expanded to 64 pages in length. With only a few exceptions, all topics are updated every 3-4 years with a totally new title in the series. These books are ideal for use in essays, assignments, debates, as teaching aids, and for your own personal research. Contents include:
